Clark Webb began his passion for photography in 1970 while attending Clemson University. He graduated Clemson and pursued a management accounting career in industry while enjoying photography at the advanced amateur level. Competing in many local and national photography competitions over the years he has numerous awards to his credit including several Kodak Awards of Merit and the prestigious Everett Saggus Master Photographer Award. In 1998 he changed his career path to pursue photography at the professional level and with his wife, Becky, founded Clark Webb Photography. In addition, he currently teaches photography as an adjunct instructor at Tri County Technical College in Pendleton, South Carolina. Clark utilizes whatever equipment is needed for an assignment including 35mm, medium or large format, and digital to achieve an expressive fine art photograph. In preparation for a professional photography career, Clark apprenticed with Mack McJunkin Photography for three years. Mack and Sarah McJunkin founded McJunkin Photography in 1970 offering Wedding, Portrait, and Commercial Photography services. Over the years McJunkin Photography became an established hallmark studio in the Greenwood, South Carolina area. Friends since 1970, Mack and Sarah were always an encouragement to Clark in his photography efforts. Unfortunately, Mack died unexpectedly November 1, 2003. Mack was a mentor, counselor, and friend. |
